The Ilac for everyone

The Ilac for everyone

We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable when visiting the ILAC Shopping Centre. That's why we provide a range of services and facilities designed to make your trip easier, whether you're a regular, a first-time visitor, or in Dublin for the day.

Wheelchairs

If you need a wheelchair during your visit, just ask any member of the on-site team. Wheelchairs are available free of charge from the customer service desk or from staff in the malls.

There are 20 accessible parking spaces in the Q-Park car park, spread across all levels. Lifts run directly from the car park into Mary Mall on the ground floor, and all four public lifts serve every level of the centre. Every lift has floor numbers in braille.

Please note the car park has a height restriction of 1.9 metres.

Accessible toilets and baby changing

Male, female and accessible toilets are located on the ground floor in Parnell Mall. Two buggy-friendly baby changing facilities are available there too, and Dunnes Stores and McDonald's offer additional baby changing facilities.

Defibrillators

There are two defibrillators in the centre: one in the toilets corridor off Parnell Mall, and one by the lifts. If you need assistance, alert any member of the mall team straight away.

More services at the ILAC

  • Free WiFi across the main concourse, many of the eateries, and the Library
  • Phone charging — a Joos station beside Cassidy Travel, by the lifts. Rent a power bank and top up on the go
  • ATMs in Dunnes Stores on Henry Street, on the ground floor and in the basement
  • Photography booths in Lift Square, beside Cassidy Travel, and in the restrooms corridor off Parnell Mall
  • Internet kiosks beside the stairs to the Library, with colour print, scan and copy facilities

The Central Library

The Central Library, housed on the first floor of the ILAC, is run by Dublin City Council and is open to everyone. Alongside its books and reading spaces, it's home to several services worth knowing about:

  • The Sensory Cubby — a calm, supportive space for children and adults who may feel overwhelmed by busy environments. Sessions last 5 to 15 minutes and use a combination of colours, images and music. Free to use — ask at the Library for availability.
  • The Creative Studio — a free digital maker space for recording music, podcasts, video, digital stories and oral histories.
  • The Business Information Centre and Music Library — both open to the public.

These are Library services rather than ILAC services. For bookings or enquiries about any of them, contact the Library directly.
